Discover The Perfect Namibia Luxury Safari

By Catherine Jones

With an adventurous spirit and five or six thousand dollars you can have the African safari of your dreams. There are more choices than you might imagine, so sit back and take some time to visit the websites. People who like the idea of seeing wild animals running free, but are not too happy about roughing it with a sleeping bag and camping equipment can have both luxury and safari at the same time. You can discover the Namibia luxury safari that will surpass anything you could imagine.

One luxury safari will fly you to four destinations in Namibia, each very different from the other. You are about to experience something that has no comparison. Your first stop is the capital of Namibia, the city of Windhoek. Your first night in Namibia will be at a Relais and Chateaux property, the Hotel Heinizburg. The sixteen guest rooms are in a castle of German architecture. Even this architecture, although not African will be new to your eyes. With just about every luxury you could imagine, this is an exceptionally beautiful start to your adventure.

Shortly thereafter you will be flown to the Sossusvlei Desert Lodge with a surrounding landscape that is almost other worldly. With miles of towering sand dunes mixed with flat pans of cracking sand, the size and the terracotta color will amaze you. You will question how can there be life in such a dry ecosystem. You can choose to spend your time exploring the Namib Desert or relaxing in the luxurious lodge.

The next destination is Damaraland where you stay at the Mowani Mountain Camp, part of the Twfelfontein Conservancy. The fourteen huts are built to compliment the surrounding terrain and grouped closely together as they would be in a typical African village. This site offers a variety of activities and a chance to go on an elephant nature ride. The next day, take a hot air balloon to see broad views of this marvelous country.

Following two days of staying at the Conservancy, the final leg of the trip is the Etosha National Park. You are going to be here for two days. The Mushara Collection, a lodge that has separate villas, or the Onguma Game Reserve are your choices for lodging. The surrounding acreage is home to many of the majestic African animals. The various species, some familiar and some not, intermingle at the nearest watering hole.

This is the last stop, and at the end of your stay you will be transferred back to Windhoek, and eventually your return flight home. This is only one of the several luxury safaris offered by various travel companies. The cost of this package is over five thousand dollars per person. This is the price of luxury, especially in a country where nature reigns and the landscapes have not been marred by high rise hotels.

To plan your adventure first spend time reviewing all the websites. They are all beautifully designed and contain elaborate detail. There is no wrong choice, but the right one is the safari best suited to your interests.

For visitors who have been to Africa there are no words to describe the newness of landscapes, animals and architecture that your eyes are about to see. Like a young child sees life, you will experience many things for the first time. Prepare to be inspired.
