Benefits Of Machu Picchu And Galapagos Tours

By Young Lindsay

There are so many amazing vacation destinations from which to choose that it can be difficult to decide where to go. With selections like beautiful sun laden beaches, fluffy snow covered slopes, thousands of monuments and sites of historical significance, the ever popular amusement parks and more, picking just one may be mind wrenching. Signing up for Machu Picchu and Galapagos tours provides two locations that offer complimentary adventures.

These two locations are incredibly unique in their styling, filled with history and brimming with marvels. Travel agencies often feature packages that provide trips to both destinations including the amenities for the duration. Anyone taking this type of jaunt is sure to be awed and amazed and to make many wonderful memories.

Each of these locations share an incredible beauty, though they are as different as could be. One is a testament to the organization, innovation and architectural genius of a civilization long gone. The next is like stepping through a veil and entering a land that exists apart from the rest of the world, hosting a menagerie of unique wildlife, amazing landscapes and a multitude of natural treasures.

The first is the ruins of an ancient 15th century Inca civilization that had remained virtually untouched by modern man until its discovery in 1911. It is located in the Cusco Region of Peru on a hilltop among the Andean Mountain Range overlooking the incredible Urabamba Valley. It is meticulously maintained and protected by multiple national historical societies.

The site is built in the traditional style of the Inca and is a testament to engineering skills as the layout is done in a way that takes full advantage of the natural terrain. The temple and religious areas are set at the crest of the hill with the housing zone just below that. The agricultural lands are in the lower regions so that the aqueducts can use the land's downward slope to carry water to the fields.

The second is an amazing grouping of islands that are full of incredible animals who are uniquely adapted to their strange environment, which is unlike any other on the planet. Situated on the equator in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Ecuador, the Archipelago consists of nineteen islands and a multitude of islets, all made almost entirely of volcanic rock. Its location creates a mix of climates with interesting results.

This place is home to some breathtaking sites such as the fabulous rock towers, secluded mangroves, lagoons inland, majestic cliffs, unbelievable lava flows, impressive volcanoes and coastlines that amaze. People enjoy seeking out the caves and old pirate hideouts, as well as scuba diving among the coral reefs while exploring the under water craters filled with marine life. Perhaps the islands are most famous for their unique menagerie which includes ancient giant tortoises, the only sea faring marine iguanas in the world, sea turtles, fur seals, whales, boobies and hundred of other unlikely species.

The potential for a lifetime of treasured memories is abundant in a vacation with two such marvelous destinations. Both give visitors a bevy of beautiful sites, great allure and charm as well as a look back in history, but they still manage to be completely unique from one another It is a creative combination that will provide much enjoyment.
