Missouri is far from the beach. Its right smack dab in the middle of the country but there are plenty of hotels near Silver Dollar City. This place has millions of visitors annually. It has been open for sixty years and it is really quite a popular destination.

This amusement park is like going back in time. You get a sense of life in the Midwest in the 1800s. You will be able to see craftsmen doing different tasks like glass blowing, blacksmithing, pottery, candle making and more. This will be a trip to remember. There arent many holiday destinations where you can learn skills like glass blowing.

If you want a more modern experience, you can go on the rides. There will be seventy seven to choose from. Most are roller coasters. It is not for the faint of heart. There are also water rides, so dont be scared to get wet. There is something to do for all age groups. To be safe, check the height requirements and other rules and regulations of the park.

There will also be many retail stores there too. You could buy souvenir items to take home to all your friends. The park has forty shows a day. That should be more than enough to keep you entertained. Festivals are also scattered throughout the year as added entertainment.
