Visiting two of the world's most famous attractions is now possible in one tour. A Galapagos and Machu Picchu tour will take you to Ecuador and Peru for an unforgettable trip. Both these Andean nations have an incredible variety of activities and experiences to offer.

These incredible islands and the world famous Inca citadel are now on many people's bucket list. They are incomparable. A trip combining both of them is a dream for lovers of nature, culture and history. Besides the two main attractions there are lots of other wonderful things to experience in Peru and Ecuador.

Tourists dream of these legendary islands because of the animals. They are not afraid of people so do not run away at the first sight of a landing boat. There is nowhere else where you can get so close to wild animals so you will get some incredible photos.

Animal lovers are drawn there for the tame species which have never been hunted. It is possible to walk right up to the seals, sea lions, birds, tortoises and other creatures as they have no fear of humans. It is the same on land or in the sea. The tours always include snorkelling trips so that visitors can get up close and personal with the penguins and other marine life.

From Ecuador the tour moves on to Peru another Andean nation with a massive array of micro-climates and archaeological mysteries. To get to Machu Pichu the tour will go to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. It is worth a visit just to see the beguiling mixture of the old and new which exist side by side in Cusco. Many of the local indigenous people, the Quechua still farm the land and sell their products in the market. They also make incredible textiles.

Visitors to the Inca site have to travel from Cusco which was the capital of the empire. The city itself has lots to offer including a new museum showing artifacts found by the explorer who discovered Machu Picchu. They were hosted in a museum in the US for many years but have recently been returned home.

From Cusco there is a train to the high jungle to see the citadel. It takes a few hours but you wont be bored. It is a truly spectacular journey as you descend the high valleys into the cloud forest. The tour will include a guided tour of the site which is essential to understand what happened there and the ingenious talents of the Inca builders.

A tour encompassing the best of Ecuador and Peru has lots to offer. Both countries have unique cultures, endemic wildlife, wild jungles, Ancient cities and more. Taking an organised tour is the easiest way to see it all. The best way to find a tour is to shop around as they are all slightly different. Some companies offer bespoke tours. Make sure to check the weather as rainy season affects both places.
