Rise in tourism revenues in Turkey 7.9% in the second quarter

Institute of Statistics said in Turkey T July 31 that tourism revenues rose by 7.9% in the second quarter to reach 8.98 billion dollars.

And represents one of the most important tourism revenue sources that will help finance the current deficit in the balance of current transactions.

The percentage of tourism revenues from foreign tourists during the second quarter, 84.5% of total revenues, while 15.5% of the proceeds from Turkish citizens residing abroad.

The tourists trips through personal or tourist offices, and was more than 6.6 billion dollars of tourism revenue profile, and the rest as a result of organized trips through the tourist offices any more than 2.35 billion dollars.

The data showed that the average spent by foreign tourists during Saahth amounted to $ 759 while the average expenditure of a Turkish citizen resident abroad during his visit to the country in 1325 dollars, an average of 818 dollars per capita of all the tourists.

The number of tourists during the second quarter of this year, about 11 million tourists, 9.5% of whom are foreign nationals, and the rest are foreigners.
