By Karen Miller

There are many very famous theme parks located throughout the United States that attract million of visitors each year. Each one has its own charm and none more so than Legoland. When you are planning your next family vacation, you should really consider traveling to Winter Haven and spend time at the resort and Legoland hotel Florida tourists are raving about. The Lego brand has been around for more than sixty years, and children still love to play with them. For many parents, it is a relief to see their kids away from computers and handheld devices.

The hotel rooms are decorated in children's favorite Lego themes, so you will have to choose which will most delight your little one. The adventure rooms are very popular. Most have Egyptian motifs down to the pillow cases, comforters and bedsheets. There are pharaohs and pyramids to delight young adventurers.

Other children are fascinated by pirates and would love to stay in one of these pirate decorated rooms. With their unique bed frames and the fabric above that replicates a billowing sail, your youngster will have no trouble imagining him or herself setting sail on a pirate ship. The floors may be covered with maps showing the way to find a treasure. There will be wall lanterns for lighting and plenty of skulls and crossbones scattered throughout.

Princes and princesses will love to stay in one of the kingdom rooms. The walls are covered in stone and ivy wallpaper to resemble a castle. You will find plenty of knights in shining armor and beautifully gowned ladies in waiting in these rooms. There are shields and family crests adorning the walls as well.

The developers have recently added the Lego friends themed rooms for little ones who have favorite characters. They are all represented here along with their cuddly pets. Children can sleep in the bunk beds and trundle beds provided while parents have use of the larger beds. As with the other rooms, these carry the theme throughout including comforters, pillowcases and light fixtures.

There is so much to see and do at this resort, you will need to plan your vacation carefully and fully understand the attractions available and the restrictions imposed by the facility. For instance, there are height requirements for some of the rides. Children are not normally allowed to roam the park by themselves. An adult must accompany them. The resort is a smoke free environment. It is sometimes closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so will you have to take that into consideration.

If you are lucky enough to be able to visit more than once a year, there are annual passes available. A pass entitles you to get into the park before normal hours and enjoy some of the rides and attractions before it gets crowded. Hotel guests can also take advantage of the Bonus Brick time.

One of the most attractive things about the concept of Legos is the way it sparks the imagination of children. There is nothing technical about it and there are no rules for construction. Visiting Legoland just heightens and reinforces that.
